How long have you been in business?
One Step Ahead Detective Agency has been in business since 2008.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is Private Investigations, Private Security, and CPR and First Aid Training.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was being prepared for this opportunity since 1989 where I worked as an LAX security guard and then again in 1993 when I began working for The Los Angeles County Probation Department being promoted up to Deputy Probation OfficerII. I worked as an LAX Police Officer for a short stint after graduating from Rio Hondo Police Academy. I believe this has been Divinely orchestrated!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The difference I see is that we have the experience of over 20 years at different levels of law enforcement backing our decisions, as well as growing up in ethnic environments where we had to overcome the environment and circumstances we grew up in in order to survive. I believe the reasons I mentioned above plus our education which is a Master's Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The key ingredient here is something you cannot see, the intangible ingredient that others often do not have, Instinct based on street training growing up in South Central Los Angeles proving that good can come out the most adverse situations. The most important ingredient to our success is that we believe in being lead by God!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently we have one location in Lancaster, CA, however we do plan on expanding not only to different location, taking the knowledge we have and sharing it with educational institutions to help build the economy by creating jobs for their students, providing ground breaking curriculum that will provide a fresh new edge for the school, and create revenue for them and us by utilizing and formulating a partnership to present to their community, state or maybe even the world.
